RSEA Safety is determinedly committed to building our relationship with the traditional owners and custodians of this land.

Reconciliation Action Plan

RSEA Safety acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First Nations’ People of Australia, the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land and sea. We honour their rich and diverse culture and look forward to contributing to reconciliation in a collaborative and outcome focused approach through our Reconciliation Action Plan.

Our commitment to reconciliation isn’t lip service, we are taking real and decisive steps to fulfil our goals. RSEA Safety currently employs nearly 600 people, of which 5% are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We will continue to develop and sustain culturally respectful relationships, to care and protect each other, our business and our environment. We are proud to be playing an active role in achieving equality and diversity in both our workplace and the greater community.

TAGAI Management Consultants

RSEA Safety is proud to partner with Indigenous consultancy firm, TAGAI Management Consultants (TMC). Together, RSEA Safety and TMC work collaboratively on several new sustainable initiatives to help generate opportunities for Indigenous employment, education, training, procurement and community engagement.

TMC, a family owned business, is a leading social procurement and Indigenous participation company who has assisted SME’s, Government and large corporations to enhance their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement around procurement, education and training, employment and community.

Yakeen Initiative

RSEA Safety has formed a joint venture business with Onabac, a 100% Indigenous Owned Supply Nation Certified Business. The Onabac business has become Australia’s choice in the delivery of workwear, footwear, PPE, sportswear and promotional merchandise. RSEA Safety is proud to be part of this new joint venture called Yakeen Safety.

The name Yakeen is Indigenous for “Dream” and is from the language spoken amongst the Gunditjmara people in South West Victoria. “Dreaming is a part of Indigenous Culture that connects us with our ancestors and creators. Our Yakeen is to walk a journey with the communities we work in”.
