Low speed end treatments are generally gating systems while high speed end treatments are generally non gating allowing controlled redirection of a vehicle. These systems are typically applied to locations where head on or angled impacts are likely to occur. Placement and use of these systems should be accomplished in accordance to local road authority guidelines. Defender is purpose-built to meet the latest MASH standards. This barrier is tested to MASH TL2, TL3 & TL4 for use on roads up to 100km per hour. At only 4m and 320kg per barrier, it is easier to load, transport and deploy onsite than concrete or older 12m steel barriers. Given its shorter length, Defender barrier runs are better suited to handling road curvature and sag, making it ideally suited for urban and regional roads. • 800mm height, 3900mm length, 680mm width (at base). • 320kg per barrier. • MASH TL2 70kmh, MASH TL3 100kmh, MASH TL4 10 tonnes at 90kmh. • Minimum and standard deflection installation options. • Unbound granular pavement installation options. • Hinges available for very tight radius (up to 90°), intersections and roundabouts. • Can be anchored into the ground or installed free-standing. • RSEA uses a hydraulic clamp lifter for faster, safer deployment, allowing more metres per truck.
